ULTRA-QUIET BRIO® 650 IN-ROOM AIR PURIFIER
The Air Purifier Challenge
Improving indoor air quality is essential in most urban areas. Many homes and offices do not have sophisticated HVAC systems, and these aren’t in operation 24 hours a day. So portable air purifiers are an important supplement to improve indoor air.
However, most use mechanical filtration and HEPA technology – a technology with significant limitations. By design, HEPA filters clog, leading to declining effectiveness over the filter life. As a result, the filter media needs frequent replacement, which adds significantly to cost and maintenance.
Our Smarter Indoor Air Solution
Brio uses patented Advanced Particle Removal Technology (APART™) to remove fine and ultrafine particles without clogging or reducing the airflow. Developed by research scientists and technologists at the University of Washington’s Sensors, Energy, and Automation Laboratory, APART technology keeps the clean air delivery rate constant and performance high.
In the Brio Air Purifier, electrostatically charged particles are drawn out of the airflow and into the APART cartridge. With no filter to create resistance or to clog, Brio delivers a constant clean airflow, for better indoor air quality all day, every day. HEPA air purifiers can’t make the same promise.

COMMERCIAL HVAC SYSTEM
The Challenge
Offices, institutions, and other large facilities are responsible for providing clean indoor air for health and productivity.
Traditionally, mechanical HVAC filtration systems involve a trade-off between energy efficiency and high MERV ratings.
The challenge is to design a filter that offers both energy efficiency and filtration efficiency, without increasing the overall cost of ownership.
Our Smarter Indoor Air Solution
Agentis Air designed, developed, and tested a prototype commercial HVAC unit based on Advanced Particle Removal Technology in a pilot program on the University of Washington campus.
The unit successfully operated at MERV 15 for six months, using 50% of the energy of a traditional MERV 15 mechanical filter. Over the course of the pilot, the prototype demonstrated extremely high particle load capacity, which was sufficient to support a full-year cycle between cartridge changes.
The conclusions from this successful pilot project are clear: you don’t have to choose between energy efficiency and a safe workplace environment.

RESPONSIVE SMART PURIFICATION
The Challenge
Smart sensor technology makes managing building systems more effective and efficient. Unfortunately, the mechanical filtration systems used in many installations are unable to respond to valuable, money-saving sensor data in real time.
Our Smarter Indoor Air Solution
Adapting to real-time environmental conditions, our technology-enabled systems use sensor data to decide when to dial up or down filtration levels and associated energy use. By dynamically adjusting filtration efficiency, Agentis Air solutions deliver optimal performance while reducing energy costs.
Smarter indoor air with Agentis Air Dynamic Smart Purification
APART technology can allow HVAC systems to dynamically increase or decrease the power used and the MERV level to meet current conditions.
AIR EXCHANGE SYSTEM
The Challenge
Air exchangers most commonly use a simple mechanical filter to purify the air brought in from the outside. In high-pollution areas, the filter uses more energy and requires frequent filter changes to remain effective. The challenge is to replace a traditional filter with Agentis Air technology to reduce energy consumption and increase the period between filter changes.
Smarter Indoor Air with Clean Air Delivery Rate Better than HEPA
Our Smarter Indoor Air Solution
Agentis Air built a custom filter to retrofit a popular brand of air exchanger. The result was a filter with 50% lower energy use and a 2x higher dust-loading capacity.
The energy savings were sufficient to support re-engineering the unit with a lower power, quieter fan.
